Ms. Ducoing joined Thomas, Soileau, Jackson & Cole, L.L.P. as an associate attorney in 2019. Born and raised in Michigan, Erica grew up visiting family in Louisiana and developed a genuine love for her southern roots. During high school, Ms. Ducoing was a member of the professional division with Ballet Austin in Austin, Texas, and upon completion of her contract, decided it was time to follow her heart to Louisiana. Ms. Ducoing hung up her pointe shoes and made the move to Baton Rouge to attend her father’s alma mater, Louisiana State University. In 2015, Erica began law school at LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. During law school, she served on the Trial Advocacy Board, earned her certification as a Qualified Child Custody and Visitation Mediator, and was heavily involved in the Public Interest Law Society, earning over 100 hours of pro bono service. Ms. Ducoing graduated with her Juris Doctorate and Graduate Diploma in Comparative Law in May of 2018. After successfully sitting for the July 2018 Louisiana bar exam, Erica served as a law clerk to Louisiana’s 26th Judicial District Court.
